Jim Greer STILL Skeptical Of Obama’s School Speech
Posted on September 15th, 2009 by admin
Florida Republican Party Chairman Jim Greer, who was one of the most vehement critics of President Obama’s speech to schoolchildren upon its announcement, complete with “lesson plans,” appeared on “The Situation Room” on the day the text of the speech has been released - sans lesson plans - and said that he hasn’t changed his mind as a concerned parent, though he did say at the end that his own kids will be watching the President’s speech, “as I hope all kids will.”
He also said that it is “an upbeat speech, but is it the one the President was always going to give?”
“It was never about the President speaking to children about the importance of education,” Greer added. “It was about the White House writing lesson plans.”
Though a bit later, Greer also says: “We have Barack Obama, the auto king, we have Barack Obama, the banker, soon to be Barack Obama, the doctor; we don’t need Barack Obama, the schoolteacher.”
