What does everyone think about online guitar lessons versus lessons from an instructor?

Posted on March 2nd, 2010 by admin

I need help deciding whether to get guitar lessons online or go to an actual instructor.

When learning an instrument, an actual teacher is the only way to go. Online studies might teach you a few chords, but that’s no substitute for personal instruction.

Definitely get a teacher. I was learning online for ages, but then i got lessons with a teacher, and I’m a lot smoother and have learnt much more important skills than when I was learning online. It will cost, but you’ll learn faster, and have more fun. Good luck!
