What lessons does Dimitri teach Rose in the Vampire Academy series?

Posted on October 25th, 2009 by admin

Hey guys! Could you please give me all the lessons Dimitri teaches Rose in the "WHOLE" Vampire Academy series? My friend and I are obsessed with it and need to know all the lessons. I told her I’d look, but I couldn’t find them in the book. Thanks.
I already know Don’t hesitate and never turn your back until your is dead, and run. Is there any others?

Run. Never turn your back on an opponent until there dead. and a few more…. i’ll re read them and let you know soon. I love those books. In my opinion there WAY better than twilight. I think i’m like the only non gay guy who reads them =D lol. Btw I’m currently reading Shadow kiss. Its good so far. I’m just at the part were Rose sees Mason for the second time!? >:O i’m wondering if hes a ghost or not. My guess is that after the first strigoi snaped his neck (in frost bite) when the second started to drink his blood, he wasn’t dead, but then later he came back as a strigoi from the bite. Thats just speculation though i haven’t read it yet… don’t tell me if i’m wrong or right.

How long do you need to take Vocal lessons before entering a college music program?

Posted on October 11th, 2009 by admin

I’ve been taking singing lessons at the local university for over two years now. How long should someone take lessons before they enter college?

That totally depends on the singer. If I were you I would talk to someone in the music program at the college you’re interested in. They should be able to give you an honest answer about whether you’re ready.

Can i start driving lessons in the UK with my provisional license at the age of 16?

Posted on October 9th, 2009 by admin

i have got my provisional and i’m 17 in 2 and a half months, can i start my lessons now?

No unfortunately not, I’m in the same boat- I have my provisional, and it’s my 17th next month, but we can’t start until our birthday’s.

If you are as enthusiastic as me, however, you can start booking lessons and your tests. If you think you are confident, enthusiastic, and a fast learner, you could do a 1 or 2 week intensive course as soon as you turn 17- and pass your test in just a few weeks!

That’s what I’m doing. I’m SO excited, and I can barely wait, so I’m doing a crash course, then taking my tests a few weeks after my birthday.

If your parents aren’t law crazy, you may be able to convince them to give you a little personal tuiton… maybe reversing off your drive and driving up and down the road???

Hope this helps!

Are there any motorcycle schools in Vancouver that offer lessons on SCOOTERS?

Posted on October 3rd, 2009 by admin

I’m planning to get my motorcycle Learner’s license soon, and I’m looking into taking lessons specifically for driving motor scooters only. I’ve tried looking through the phone book, but all of the schools seem to only offer lessons on normal motorcycles.

Can someone recommend me a school that offers scooter lessons in Vancouver, Burnaby, or that sort of area?

Yea there’s one in downtown Burnaby. Two blocks south of the mini-mart/gas station. I believe it’s called Accurate Driving School. They teach everything and have a special class for scooters

What life lessons can getting cut from the high school basketball team show me?

Posted on September 27th, 2009 by admin

For my college essay, I am trying to write about how getting cut from the high school basketball team my sophomore and junior year has taught me many life lessons. Does anyone know or can anyone think of any life lessons that I could have learned from not making the team?

Thanks

Ask Michael Jordan, he was cut from the junior high team, swore to himself that would never happen again. The rest is history.

How many times a week do people usually have instrument lessons?

Posted on September 25th, 2009 by admin

I was thinking about taking both piano and guitar lessons at the same time, but I don’t want to take lessons that are 3, 4, or 5 times a week each. What is the normal amount of lessons for piano and guitar a week?

Typically, music lessons are taken once a week, but some people find time to take lessons twice a week. I studied piano for 12 years and when I was preparing a recital I would take my lessons 2 or 3 times a week… otherwise it was once per week.

Now, as for *practicing* -that- was required every single day… so be sure to factor "practice time" into your schedule.

I hope you have plenty of time to dedicate to studying *2* instruments simultaneously — that would be difficult for most anyone to work into their time schedule! I’m sure I couldn’t do it…

Best of Luck in your musical future!

Where is the best place to take surf lessons at in Miami Beach?

Posted on September 23rd, 2009 by admin

I am a beginning surfer(never had a lesson in his life) who is looking for lessons in the Miami Beach area. I am well aware that the time I will be there, October 30 through November 2, is the beginning of the east coast surf season. I want to get quality instruction so that I don’t get frustrated and decide I don’t like it without giving it a real chance. Any recommendations?

For quality instruction you need to go a little north to Deerfield Beach. Kali Montero runs the only accredited surf school in that area and has a super program.

Can I get violin lessons to improve my playing?

Posted on September 21st, 2009 by admin

I’ve been playing violin for close to three years now. I want to improve and I think that getting a teacher might help, but all the places I go to seem like they only offer lessons to new players.
I’m in my high school orchestra.

It is NEVER too late to ask for a private instructor. They are an excellent resource, and can definitely improve your playing, although it may cost a little. You should look into taking lessons with someone in your local symphony orchestra. Ask people in your orchestra class who they take lessons with. Local music stores are probably not your best bet, but you could give them a try too. If you know the basics, a teacher can sharpen bowing, technique, and overall playing ability. If you are serious about playing, a private teacher is essential. Good Luck!
