What’s the best lesson you’ve learned in Kindergarten?

I learned that not everyone wants to know what I’m thinking at any given time.

Beginning lessons needed for my 11 yr-old. son. I don’t mine paying a lot if the class is going to be worth it & I see & hear results.
Your best bet is to start with a musical instrument company, here in Texas, we have Tarpleys Instruments amoung others. Also, what you may want to do, is find a bar that features live bands with the kind of music your son is interested in learning, and post a note. If you decide to post a note, be SURE to interview the instructor thoroughly before leaving him with your son. Some musicians believe that artificial stimulation (drugs) help them to play better.
I am a high school student with 10 years of playing piano under my belt. Although I don’t really have any previous experience teaching a child how to play, I’d like to get some advice on how much I should charge. The child is 7 years old, and the lessons will probably be around 45 min. to an hour, something around that timeframe. Anyway, any advice is appreciated!
Professional teachers usually get about $25.00-$30.00 per half hour lesson but you will probably need to start out cheaper until you get a reputation. Teaching can be very exasperating and just because you are a good player doesn’t mean you will be a good teacher. Nothing ventured, Nothing gained! Give it a try.
I want guitar lessons online. I’m getting real ones soon but i want something to start with. videos would be the best. text with pictures second best.
Thanks.
Youtube.com should have about anything you could want. I’m glad to hear you’ll be taking "real" lessons because although you can learn alot from the internet, it’s still better to have some hands on help with it.
I teach preschoolers and the theme is Insects and Bugs. I teach gross motor. Any ideas for lessons that are gross motor activities that correspond to the theme?
hey. great to "meet" a fellow preschool teacher…. what age is your class? read a book about caterpillars ( in know there are a lot, but cant think of any off the top of my head) then have the students go outside and hold each others hips or shoulders in a "conga line" type deal, to form one long "caterpillar" have them go up the stairs and thru sand or whatever is on your playground or in your classroom… this will help with their eye and foot coordination as well as working together as a group…. hope this helps.. as an art you can make caterpillars too, with like 5 circles glued together or the classic egg carton caterpillar…
I’m looking for a gaming laptop so i can play HALO 2, RYL and possibly WOW. It also needs to be able for my mom to do her lesson plans on shcool work site. We’re lookin for a good computer with a good price. If any of you know of such a "dream" laptop plz answer. It needs a graphics card and wat ever else i need to play those games.
You must spend your money for the best brand.
As I know HP and Dell are the best in laptops for a long time. I trusted HP and I bought a HP laptop 2 years before, and still like the day I bought it. Didn’t even had to service it at least once up to now.
I recommend you to buy a HP(with experience) or Dell laptop.
On www.hp.com you can even customize your laptop.
Select three important pieces of a lesson plan to include that you feel are the most beneficial for a student with special needs
are they visual, verbal, or hands on learners?
Pick something that has all of those.
Example: History
Show pictures, films, slide shows
Talk about it
Then have them write or color about a moment in history.
So I really want to take piano lessons and I was just wondering if anyone has an idea of a reasonable rate for lessons? It doesn’t matter if it’s by hour or what I just want opinions on what is a reasonable rate, thanks!
try to check on http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=what%20is%20a%20reasonable%20rate%20for%20piano%20lessons
DO you have to have a liscence or be a certain age to teach private musical instrument lessons?
No you don’t but you should have experience and actually know about what you’re trying to teach. Try advertising on a site like www.LessonsCentral.com and list your experience. Start with beginner students so you can work with them and find good techniques when teaching. Good luck.
Before, I just learned by song, and then when a new technique came up, I went on youtube, but now, I’m really trying to get into making my own stuff, and without structure, I’m finding it hard to come up with anything, so I was wondering.
Should I get guitar lessons, or should I just manage by myself?
Guitar lessons are nice for beginners, but if you have already managed to learn a lot on your own, then I would not waste the money on it. As for songwriting it takes a very long time to get down, and its 99% emotion, not theory, which is something no guitar instructor can teach you.
